B3 Racing Team drivers show strong performace in Macau Free Practice 2

The field of the TCR International Series continued the preparations for the qualification and races in Macau, including B3 Racing Team that backed all of its three drivers to achieve top 10 positions in the classification.

The 30-minutes Free Practice began in a similar fashion to the first one held on Thursday. The session was red flagged after only 5 minutes following an incident but it was shortly restarted. The drivers still lost approx. 10 minutes of track time but fortunately the rest of the practice was held without further stoppages on the 6.120 km street circuit.

Traffic was still an issue on the tight and twisty track but this didn’t stop the drivers of B3 Racing Team as all off them managed to improve significantly following Free Practice 1 and claimed top 10 finishes in Free Practice 2. 

For a brief period Dušan Borković was leading the field ahead of his team mate, Mat’o Homola. The Serbian driver eventually took 6th place with a 2:34.797, only 1.3 seconds behind the leader on the long Macau Guia Circuit. Team mate Mat’o Homola was closely following the Serbian driver and classified 7th ahead of 9th placed Attila Tassi.

The racers drove flawlessly which enables the team to continue the preparations for the crucial qualifications and the races to be held on Sunday morning.

Dávid Bári, technical director of B3 Racing Team said after Free Practice 2 that the overall level of performance shown by the drivers have improved significantly following the analyzation of data collected on Thursday. The team worked hard to learn from the experience and the result is that all three cars prepared by B3 Racing Team are among the top 10 which is an encouraging result for them.
