B3 Racing Team to conclude the 2016 TCR International Series season in Macau

Macau, the celebrated city of spectacular casinos and nightlife hosts the finale of the 2016 TCR International Series season, in which the Hungarian B3 Racing Team competes. The Hungaroring-based operation runs three SEAT Leon Cup Racers with Hungarian prodigy Attila Tassi, Serbian FIA ETCC champion Dušan Borković and Slovakian TCR race-winner Mat'o Homola behind the wheels.

Homola, winner of Race 1 in Germany leads the in-house competition among B3 Racing Team drivers. He is currently 5th in the overall classification with 175 points ahead 7th placed Borković, who has claimed 161 points and Tassi, who sits 11th with 68 points after he missed the first three rounds of this year’s championship. Macau will be a new experience for the whole team as this is the maiden TCR International Series season for B3 Racing.

The Macau Grand Prix has earned a unique reputation among the various international motorsport competitions: this is the only official event in the world where race car drivers and motorcycle riders both compete in their respective fields. Macau has hosted touring car races since 1972, and a prestigious Formula 3 race has also been a regular fixture since 1983.

2010 marked a historic year for Hungarian motorsport as FIA WTCC driver Norbert Michelisz took victory in Macau. In 1983, Ayrton Senna won the inaugural F3 race on the street circuit before Michael Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen collided in the last lap of the 1990 race. TCR International Series replaced WTCC in 2015.
